LASH & BROW BAR FAQS

  • Hybrid Stain is a longer-lasting brow colour treatment that stains both the skin and the brow hairs. It creates a fuller, more defined look and is ideal for clients wanting a makeup-style finish without committing to cosmetic tattooing.

Hybrid stain typically lasts up to 2 weeks on the skin and up to 6 weeks on the brow hairs, depending on skin type and aftercare.

At Nika Studio, your appointment includes a personalised brow mapping, sculpting, waxing and shaping to ensure symmetry and a result tailored specifically to your face.

Brow Lamination is a restructuring treatment designed to smooth, lift and redirect the natural brow hairs into a fuller, fluffier shape. It works by gently softening the hair bonds so they can be repositioned into your desired style.

    This treatment is perfect for:

    • Brows that grow downward

    • Sparse or uneven brows

    • Clients wanting a brushed-up, defined look

Brow lamination results last approximately 6–8 weeks with proper aftercare.

For best results, lamination is often paired with a Hybrid Stain to enhance depth and definition.

  • A lash lift is a professional treatment that enhances your natural lashes by lifting and curling them from the base, giving the appearance of longer, more defined lashes without extensions.

Think of it as a semi-permanent curl for your lashes — but healthier and longer-lasting than using a lash curler daily.

Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle.

At Nika Studio, lash lifts can also be paired with a lash tint for added depth and impact.

  • Most clients are suitable for brow lamination, however results will vary depending on your natural brow hair.

You do need enough brow hair for the treatment to be effective. Very fine, extremely sparse or newly growing “baby hairs” may not laminate as well.

If you have sensitive skin, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are using strong active skincare (such as retinol), please let me know prior to your appointment so we can ensure the treatment is safe and suitable for you.

A consultation will always be carried out before treatment to ensure the best outcome.

  • To ensure the best results and avoid irritation, please follow the guidelines below:

    • Avoid retinol, vitamin A, or active skincare on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

    • Avoid exfoliants (AHA, BHA, scrubs) and anti-ageing products around the brow area for 7 days before and afteryour treatment.

    • Avoid fake tan or gradual tanning products on the face for 3 days before your appointment, as this can affect the colour of your Hybrid Stain.

    • Please arrive to your appointment with clean skin and no heavy makeup around the treatment area.

If you are unsure whether your skincare may interfere with your treatment, please reach out prior to your booking.

  • To protect your results:

Avoid getting your brows or lashes wet for the first 24 hours.

Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms and excessive sweating for 24 hours.

Avoid heavy makeup (foundation/concealer) around the brow area for 24 hours.

Do not apply self-tan to the face for at least 24 hours.

Be gentle when washing your face and avoid rubbing the treated area.

For lamination treatments, daily brushing and recommended aftercare oil will help maintain your results.

COSMETIC TATTOO FAQS

  • Cosmetic tattooing (also known as semi-permanent makeup) is a specialised treatment where pigment is gently implanted into the skin to enhance and reshape features such as the brows.

At Nika Studio, I specialise in soft powder/ombre style brows, creating a defined yet natural finish — similar to a perfectly filled-in brow pencil look.

  • Your appointment begins with a detailed consultation and review of your medical history.

    I will then:

Carefully map your brows to suit your facial structure

Create a pre-draw shape for your approval

Adjust until we are both 100% happy

Once approved, the tattooing begins. Numbing is applied throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable. The pigment is layered gradually for a soft, even result.

You will leave with aftercare instructions and everything you need to heal properly.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is completed in two stages to ensure skin health and long-term results.

The initial appointment implants pigment safely in layers. Once healed, we reassess colour retention and symmetry, and perfect the result at your touch-up.

This process improves longevity and ensures the most refined finish possible.

  • Longevity depends on your:

    • Skin type

    • Lifestyle

    • Sun exposure

    • Skincare routine

On average, clients return for a colour refresh between 12–24 months after their initial treatment. Some may require earlier maintenance depending on fading.

  • In some cases, yes.

Photos must be sent prior to booking for assessment. If the previous tattoo is light enough, I may be able to correct or refresh it. If it is too dark or heavily saturated, removal may be recommended first.

Results can never be guaranteed when working over previous work.

  • Pain tolerance varies from person to person. However, topical anaesthetic is used throughout the procedure to ensure comfort.

Most clients say it feels like light scratching or pressure and is far more comfortable than expected.

  • Yes, absolutely.

Please note that I do not offer microblading (hair stroke brows). I specialise in powder/ombre brows, which create a soft shaded finish rather than individual hair strokes.

This technique provides a beautifully defined result, even for clients with little to no natural brow hair.

  • Yes — once your cosmetic tattoo has fully healed (minimum 6 weeks).

Hybrid stain or lamination can enhance depth and styling of the brow hairs, especially once the tattoo has softened into its healed result.
